9:00 – 9:30 –Welcome by The Makerspace Coffee and Networking
9:30 – 10:00 – Break into streams 1, 2 and 3, intro to your stream
10:00 – 11:00 – design, specify and source required hardware (mini shop on site)
11:00 – 13:00 – build Hack something with a sensor( hackathon)
13:00 – 14:00 –Lunch Break
14:00 – 16:00 –Show and Tell
(Participants can freely ask for expert assistance at any point during the day)
3 Streams:
Stream 1: Absolute beginner – technophobes and under 12’s – What is an arduino – plug it in, turn it on, how to use google to program an arduino – learn to solder – make a light blink to the beat of your own drum – control a light from your smartphone.
Stream 2: Novice – program an arduino – connect a sensor – make stuff happen
Stream 3: IoT – internet of things – build a connected sensor – plug in to cloud services – remote monitoring and dashboards – using Long Range WiFi and the Wazihub cloud platform for low cost agri and smart city applications.
