WAZIHUB Innovation Competition is for you!
WAZIHUB launches the Second Edition of its Innovation Competition to support innovative solutions in IoT, AI and Big Data that are applicable to issues in many sectors with the African ecosystem.
Entrepreneurs will learn how to build working prototypes or improve on their solutions with the technical support of our trainers.
Apply with your existing IoT prototype or idea to boost your project with assistance from these Tech Hubs and stand the chance to win one of the 6 prizes of €1,000 for best prototypes.
Each selected team will receive a Waziup IoT development kit and €200 voucher for any additional requests

Areas of Application
WAZIHUB Innovation Competition covers the following domains:

Implementation
The competition is implemented in 6 African countries namely: Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda and Tanzania. Local tech hubs, partners of the project will carry out the competition process in their ecosystem.
Eligibility criteria
- Have basic knowledge in IoT technology, hardware programming, or Have a team with a maximum of 3 members (the role of each member should be justified)
- Individuals who apply must have technical and business background
- Your solutions should address an identified problem and should be within these domains ( Agriculture and Farming / logistics and Transportation / Industry 4.0 / environment and Energy / Smart city and Home)
- Your solutions should be innovative and should be implemented using the WAziup technology (for the competition)
*Female team lead and members are highly encouraged.
*AI and data analysis related ideas are encouraged.
Prizes
- A WAZIUP development kit will be given to each selected team
- € 200 Voucher will be given to each team for the period of the competition
- € 1,000 award each, will be given to the top 6 teams for their prototypes.
How to apply?
This second edition of the WAZIHUB Innovation Competition is implemented in 6 tech hubs. You can only apply if you currently reside in the countries of the above tech hubs.
